Seniors
A very good win in our first away game, against an improving Hoppers side. Many people were impressed with the ball movement from defence to attack. The team is able to use quick handball and accurate kicking to give our key forwards the best opportunity to score. Sam Mason is stepping up as our only big man and took a number of marks around the ground at key times. Mitch Turnball once again showed class and excellent skills. Richard Knight is showing the benefit of having a key forward in the team, while still not yet hitting best form yet. A great game from Chris Gallagher in the back line to keep their key forward quiet. Well done to both Brad Comeadow and James Mead, graduates of the U18 program from last year. Anthony Eames must be pleased with the team, but still see that it can improve in a number of areas.

Women
A very good win by the girls who had to work hard all day, but out ran Melton Centrals in the last quarter. The team faced their first real test for the season with Melton going out to an early lead and keeping it until the last quarter. The opposition did not score in the 4th quarter with the mighty Vikings scoring 3.3.
Another great win with the team having a bye this week before facing Lalor in two weeks.

Reserves
Two wins from 2 games has been a great way to start the season for our Ressies. The team were challenged by Hoppers all day but withstood all of them and ended up as comfortable winners. The pleasing aspect for Freeza is that there is still lots of room for this team to develop and mount a real challenge for all other Reserves teams. Great to see a magnificant return to form by Trent Rafferty who dominated the centre the whole game.

An interrupted preseason showed with our A's going down to Hoppers. Coach Nick Waddell was not happy with the way the team played, but is sure the team will respond and have a big game in two weeks. The team struggled all day, but only lost by under 4 goals.

U18B
Starting short of players did not help our B's at all, but the boys played their heart out and put up a great showing against a strong Glenorden side. Mat Clery played tough and hard, and finished with his first ever multiple goal game ever. Tyler Fiteni once again provided inspirational leadership as he continually plays the game hard. JB is working with the team and is looking forward to giving Albanvale a real push this week.
