The Lismore Swans after producing an outstanding performance last weekend followed up with a very disappointing performance this weekend. The Swans travelled to Carrara to take on the new side in the competition and had their feathers clipped by 29 points.
The Swans lacked drive, hunger and passion and struggled to get pumped up for the game while Saints took charge and played a running game with numbers to the ball. This match is a big wake up call for Lismore and states the importance of getting to training, talking on the field and helping your team mates out.
The match ended up being one of the Swans worst performances in years and the side has vowed to never repeat the lacklustre effort. Not too many highlights in todays match however the backline worked tirelessly.
The better players on the day were Rhys Lavery, Tom Merrett, Andy James, Angus Legoe, Dean Webb and Darren Moncrieff
Dean Webb kicked 3 goals, while singles went to Scott Brown, Tom Merrett, George Massa and Rhys Lavery
The Swans take on Byron Magipies next weekend at Oaks Oval and will be keen to get back on track.
