Our Opponents
Our Premier Division team will be taking on Campbelltown. It’s been a long preparation time for this game, but we’re keen to bounce back from the opening round. This week sees the Bombers taking on Campbelltown, who will also be looking for their first win of the season. The Bombers have had the wood on Campbelltown in the last few years, and have won the last three games against them by over 100 points; but past history counts for little, and it’s a strong performance in this game that matters.
Division One and Division Four take on local rivals Macquarie Uni, and will be primed and ready for a strong performance.
Half Time Entertainment
Ben “Choppy” Attwood, a favourite son of our club before his retirement after last season, returns to Gore Hill. He is well known for his explosive road-runner speed; but will it be enough to overcome the pace of his beloved Polly? This is a race not to be missed.
After the Game
All players, officials and supporters are invited to join us in the clubhouse for a short post-match presentation. Our coaches will give us their reflections on the game, and the best players for each of our teams will be named.
Online Coverage
Regular score updates will be posted on the North Shore website (www.northshorefc.com.au) during the day. After the game, detailed scorecards and photo galleries will be uploaded.
Anzac Day
Next Wednesday is Anzac Day. The club will be attending the Anzac Day dawn service from 5:15am at the Garden of Remembrance at Chatswood. After the service, breakfast will be served in the Gore Hill clubhouse from 7am. Later in the day, all players and supporters are invited to the Crows Nest Hotel to play two-up and watch the Essendon v Collingwood game.
Please bring your supporters card to the Crows Nest Hotel and present it when making purchases from the bar.
