Round 2 saw our seniors and reserves with the bye, but the Div 4 and Under 18s were in action; with tough away trips.
Last year, our thirds had a tough initiation when they took on the Power at Gwawley Park and left without scoring a goal. But it was a different story this time, our third senior team showing their vast improvement. With a full complement of players and significantly improved form and fitness levels compared to last year, it was a comfortable performance to take an easy 66-point win.
And the Under 18s, looking to bounce back after a disappointing opening round performance, were in control from the start. Plenty of goals were on offer as the young Bombers asserted their authority over the Greygums stadium, and once they had the run of play there was no letting up as they ran out a full four-quarter performance to record a dominant 199-point win.
And so the thirds and the Under 18s have broken their ducks for 2012. Next week all four grades will be together for a Super Saturday at Gore Hill Oval.
