The day started with a high quality under 18 game against Noosa. Both teams put on a great display of football with high quality skills coupled with strong attack at the contests. The Western Magpies ran out winners on the day and Coach Craig Allen was very happy with the team work on the day from all players and he is expecting the next clash with Noosa will be prove to be a very hard contest. Many thanks to Noosa for making the preseason game happen.
The reserves played a very strong game running out comfortable winners against Springwood, Coach Craig St John again was happy with the team work and the application to the game plan. It is pleasing to see the number of players who are performing on game day and working hard on the training track ensuring strong competition for positions in the seniors and the reserves.
The seniors like the reserves had a comfortable win against Springwood and worked hard in fine tuning the new game plan for the start of the competition in two weeks. Coach Peter McClennan was happy with the team efforts again this week and is looking forward to the start of the competition.
Many thanks to the Support Team who worked hard to ensure all that needed to be done was on the day.
