THE Nor-West Jets will pick up their preparations for the 2012 season with their first full scale practice match when they create history at Windsor's McQuade Park tomorrow.
It will be the first time the Jets have taken on Canberra's Eastlake Demons, who will head to Sydney thanks to the organisation of our very own Spyda, Paul Webster, and his brother, Demon Danny.
It is also believed to be the first time Australian Rules football will be played at the picturesque McQuade Park, and the Jets sincerely thank the Hawkesbury Sports Council and Hawkesbury Valley Rugby Union Club for giving us permission to use the ground at short notice after Bensons Lane was required for Hawkesbury District Cricket Association semi finals due to many district grounds still being wet.
The match will start at 2pm at McQuade Park, Tebbutt St, Windsor, as the Jets' get ready for their round one showdown against Moorebank and Penrith at Bensons Lane on March 31.
Next Saturday, Nor-West will make the trip down to the south coast town of Nowra to take on the Albatross Football Club - a bus will be making the trip down and returning via Stadium Australia for the round one AFL Sydney Derby I between the Sydney Swans and the GWS Giants.
See Pekay or Donny to book your spot on the bus for this trip - the final practice match before round 1.
