SOCIAL EVENTS
Friday Nights
- Friday nights after training at Dunlop Pavilion has always been a great place to finish the week with a quiet drink amongst friends at the Club.
- Everyone is welcome to come back for a drink & some food, and even those not training often put in an appearance which is great.
- This year, we are particularly to introduce the revamped Friday Nights courtesy of Knights parents Gerard Mulcahy (aka Yoge), Murray McCallum (aka Muzz) & David Chaffey (aka Chaffa). You’ll hear more real soon, but it’s fair to say we can expect to have as much fun off the field as we do on it.
Club Nights
- Club nights will again be an important part of the social program albeit in a slightly different format.
- We are looking to hold 3-4 Club Nights this year as a way to recognize players, catch up on what’s happening around the grounds & within our community, and hear from some guest speaker or player……so more to come on this one.
Night of Knights
- The Night of Knights is our Club’s major celebration & only fund raising event of the year.
- Club Social Secretary Mel Morley has kindly agreed to help co-ordinate this help again this year following last year’s success. If you’d like to get involved, please contact Mel at social@eastmalvernknights.com.au or mobile 0409 801 624.
- As a Club, we are very fortunate to have families who kindly donate goods for the Club to include in our silent auction. If you wish to get involved with our Night of Knights, please contact Club Sponsorship Manager Tony (aka General) Phillips on 0423 829 363 or email Tony at sponsorship@eastmalvernknights.com.au.

Match Day Uniforms
Players are required to wear a EMFC playing jumper, shorts, socks and mouthguards for all matches.
PLAYING JUMPER - The club provides a playing jumper in the registration fee. This will be allocated to all players at the first training session.
SOCKS & SHORTS - These are purchased from the Club at an additional cost. Players are required to purchase two pairs of shorts (blue shorts for 'home' games and white shorts for 'away' games) as well as a pair of royal blue knee length socks.
MOUTHGUARDS & FOOTY BOOTS - These items are purchased separately by parents.
There is no uniform for training.
Mouthguards
Please note that mouthguards are compulsory for both training and games.
The Club's policy is strictly 'no mouthguard, no train or play'.
Those who ordered a mouthgurad at Registration Day can pick up their mouthguard at the first training night (23 March) at Dunlop Pavilion.
CLUB CORRESPONDENCES
The main source of information throughout the season is the Club's Newsletter & Club Website.
The weekly newsletter is distributed by email each Thursday evening.
Your Team Manager will also be in regular contact via email (for example with weekly match information).
CLUB ADMINISTRATION – WHAT’s NEW IN 2012?
Further to my pre-Christmas message, I am pleased to announce that we have reached a Heads of Agreement to become an equal 1/3 member at the Malvern Sports Club (MSC). This is an important step in securing Dunlop Pavilion as our Home Base and will allow us to have confidence in investments to improve the amenity and signage. Work has already commenced with Rob Andriske and Greg Miller serving as our representatives on the newly-formed Management Committee. They will oversee a one-off allocation of $45k from the Club to make a much-needed improvement to the amenity, so that it is something we can truly enjoy and promote as a venue for hire.
2012 will see us introduce a new set of Sponsorship arrangements comprising Major Sponsors, Platinum Sponsors, and Club Sponsors. Thanks to all those who have already agreed to come onboard and support the Knights; for others you might wish to get involved, please contact Club Sponsorship Manager Tony (aka General) Phillips on 0423 829 363 or email Tony at sponsorship@eastmalvernknights.com.au.
The Committee is in the process of finalizing our 2012 Strategic Plan which will be an important part of how we communicate and reflect the priorities of members. We plan to be in a position to release that Plan to you all by Round 1 (15 April).
PLAYERS WANTED | U13, U14, U15 & U16 AGE GROUPS
