After coming off their most competitive season in their 21 year history, the Hamilton Wildcats, who owe much of their recent success to the off-season training program they've adopted within the last 3 years; will commence their strength & conditioning sessions again in preparation for the 2012 OAFL season. Over the last 3 seasons, the Brantford Athletic Club has been gracious enough to open their doors to our Club, but our 2012 Executive has decided to make the switch to Phoenix Fitness in Ancaster, to help accomodate all the large number of Hamilton based players with a much shorter commute to these training sessions. The strength & conditioning sessions will once again headed by HWAFC veteran & Personal Trainer Charles Thompson, kettlebell specialist & Wildcats strongman Kris McKillop, as well as Jesse Staples (Personal Trainer at Phoenix Fitness) a new addition to the Wildcats both on and off the oval this year, who will also be assisting Charles & Kris with the off-season programing and workouts. Phoenix Fitness will be offering all Hamilton Wildcats a FREE DAY PASS FOR ALL NEW & CURRENT PLAYERS EVERY TUESDAY from 7:30pm-9pm!!! A big "THANK YOU" goes out to Phoenix Fitness owner, Andy Childs, for opening the doors to our Club each week, as we greatly appreciate the opportunity to use his facility to continue with our off-season workout routines.
Over the past 3 seasons, the Wildcats have worked tirelessly to improve their on-field conditioning as a team, and these weekly indoor circuits have been vital in our player's growth. These strength & conditioning sessions will be FREE for all who attend, and will add another dimension to our pre-season training routine which already includes Saturday indoor skills trainings several times a month & newly added Sunday night hot yoga sessions. The definition of insanity is 'doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results'. So, we intend to try something different - and will expect nothing but great results this coming season; both on and off the oval!!!
All new, current & past Wildcats are invited to attend these Tuesday night training sessions, and please feel free to bring along anyone you think would be keen to join the Club, learn more about Australian Football or for those just looking for a fantastic workout!!!

***for all those who are NOT Phoenix Fitness members, please meet in the Front Lobby prior to 7:30PM, as you will need to sign-in as a Guest to the facility!!!
WHAT TO BRING: Please make sure you bring along a pair of indoor running shoes/cross trainers, workout clothes (tank tops/singlets are OK). For those wanting to shower post workout, PLEASE bring your own towel as they are not provided by the Club. Day use lockers, NO CHARGE, but please bring your own lock.
