T20 BIG BASH
MOORE PARK (WEST PRESTON FOOTBALL GROUND, EDWARDS LAKE RESERVOIR)
THURSDAY JANUARY 26TH AUSTRALIA DAY 12 NOON – 6PM
The Anthony McGaw support group together with the North Metro cricket association would like to invite you along to an Australia day to remember. Anthony was seriously hurt at work on the 14th July last year and is still battling away at rehab. He remains without movement in his legs but with hope and hard work anything is possible. Ant will need months, if not years, of rehabilitation and an option is a rehabilitation program in America called, ‘Project Walk’.
On the 26th January, we are putting together a T20 cricket match to try to raise funds for Ant’s rehabilitation needs. By attending on this day, you could help to make a difference to a young man who merely went to work in July and is yet to come home.
On the day, there will be a match between a combined NMCA team and a side made up of Anthony’s mates, family and a few big name district and state players. There will also be BBQ, drinks, kids jumping castle, raffles and memorabilia items up for auction. As a fun and exciting way to spend a day at the cricket, there will be a separate exclusive area for 300 people only to take part in the activities in BAY 13. WHO DOESN’T WANT A DAY IN BAY 13?! This will cost just $50 so be quick and call CRAIG on 0417 885 077 to secure your entry into BAY 13. If not, just come along and have fun in helping a young Aussie in need on Australia day.
