Former Panton Hill Captain and Best and Fairest player Ben Strongman will be returning to the Redbacks for the 2012 season and beyond after committing to the club in early November. Ben played 6 seasons at Panton Hill from 2004 to 2009 after a junior career at Research. During his time at The Hills Ben was the backbone of the midfiled, featuring regularly in the best players list and culminating in two years as captain (2008 and 2009) and taking out the clubs best player award in both thos seasons. Ben left for Lower Plenty in 2010 to play some higher level football but vowing to return to his beloved Redbacks. With a premiership under his belt at Lower Plenty last year Ben felt it was time to come back to the Hills to achieve the same goal. Ben will also be joined by a strong group of young Lower Plenty players who will be making the switch across also.
