Arrangements of the Day
Play will start at 9am - end of the Carnival and presentations scheduled for 5.00pm.
Each team will participate in two preliminary matches. At the conclusion of the preliminary matches, a ladder will be calculated and finals contested between positions 3 v 4 for 3rd place Qualifier and 1 v 2 for 2006 `Lightning' Premiers and Runner-up.
Lightning Premiers will receive the "Workways" Perpetual Shield and $500 in prize money, $200 prize money to Runner-up, and $100 to 3rd Place Qualifier.
Rules of Play
A squad of no more than 30 players per competing team to be selected for the Carnival. All players entered must be registered to play for the competing Club for 2006 with the relevant controlling League, and be eligible to play, ie., not under suspension, etc.. A completed Team Sheet is to be submitted prior to the first game, after which no additions/alterations may be made.
All games will be played over 2 x 15 minute halves, with no time-on and a 5 minute break at half-time. Team named first in the draw will kick towards the club house end of the oval during first half.
11 players per team allowed on the field during each game, with unlimited interchange.
At each centre bounce no more than 3 players from each team allowed in the square.
The ball to be kicked in from an "out of bounds" by the non-offending team - ball must enter play and no score permitted from direct kick at goal. The Umpire will make all decisions as to the offending team.
Behind kick-in can be taken before goal umpire waves flags.
Players allowed a limit of one bounce/touchdown before they must dispose of the ball.
If scores are equal at full time: (i) in preliminary rounds, ends will be changed and the first team scoring in sudden death extra time will be the winner, (ii) in finals games, five minutes each way will be played.
SCAFL "Send Off" rules will apply for a period of seven (7) minutes. Any player sent from the field twice in the same game shall be ineligible to participate in the remainder of the Carnival. Players sent from the field may not be replaced.
All other Rules will be in accordance with the "Laws of Australian Football.
During periods of play, spectators, officials and non-competing players must remain clear of the playing area and immediate surrounds
