Congratulations to the Campbelltown under 18s on remainging undefdeated for the 2011 season and taking out the Challenge Cup Premiership against Manly-Warringah at Blacktown Olympic Park on Saturday 10 September 2011.
The Blues jumped out fast and peppered Manly's goals for the entire match without really hurting Manly on the scoreboard. Amassing twice as many shots at goal than Manly, to their credit Manly came back hard in the third quarter and got back within 6 points.
Our boys overcame the charge by working the ball hard out of the backline and deploying two 50m bombs late in the 3rd quarter which broke the back of Manly's surge for Premiership glory.
Ben Wharton was deservedly awarded the 'Best on Ground' medal.
