IT may not be at the Norm Minns Oval for the first time since 2004 but everything is pointing towards a big crowd at tomorrow's Ovens and King grand final.
With the Wangaratta Showgrounds currently under redevelopment, the OandK made the decision to transfer tomorrow's clash to the WJ Findlay Oval last month.
Six clubs will be represented across the seven grand finals and with the weather gods set to shine, acting OandK general manager Zac Guilfoyle is expecting a strong turnout.
"The crowd should be big," he said.
"The forecast is for 24 degrees so we're hoping everyone can roll on down to the game.
"Wangaratta is blessed to have two premier sporting facilities that are able to host and cater for such events as the OandK grand final."
The annual grand final breakfast is again set to be a hit with over 200 tickets sold and the league securing former Wangaratta premiership coach Jason Lappin as the guest speaker.
Lappin, who is now an assistant coach with North Melbourne, has close ties to the North East having grown up in Chiltern.
"Jason is really in touch with this area," Guilfoyle said.
"Obviously he is from Chiltern and with the Lappin connection that ties in with the OandK.
"He went into the Ovens and Murray and now is down with North Melbourne.
"I'm sure he'll bring a great story to the morning and the crowd of over 200 will be listening I'm sure."
As always, Guilfoyle is expecting some closely fought matches in both the netball and football, and added the elimination of a few of the premiership favorites will make things more even.
"All seven grades should be close," he said.
"A couple of the minor premiers in the netball didn't make it so that really evens things out.
"And a few favorites didn't make it in the footy as well.
"There should be a few toss of the coin games."
