Stonnington Council award Tony Byrnes with an award for his contribution to Sport

Sport – Anthony (Tony) Byrnes

Anthony has been described as the ‘face’ of Malvern District Auskick. As the President for the last two years, and now the Secretary, he has invested an immense amount of personal time organising and attending club activities such as games at the MCG and Etihad Stadium, ‘pie nights’ with AFL players, training sessions and first-aid courses for the coaches, and engaging sponsors – all in addition to running Australia’s largest Auskick centre on a weekly basis!

He introduced first-aid courses for the coaches, resulting in 12 people being trained to deal with first-aid issues and he is known as an approachable person, capable of dealing with issues of all types.
