Stonnington Council award Alicia Eva Young Citizen of the Year

Alicia has been an ambassador for the participation of females in sport, in particular AFL, as both an award-winning player and coach. She has obtained her AFL coaches qualification and coaches her former youth girls’ team at East Malvern and is assistant coach for the Victorian State squad.

Her enthusiasm and dedication to the development of the sport has earned her the admiration and respect of team mates, coaches, administrators and the parents of the young female footballers she currently mentors.

Named 2010 best first year player in the Victorian Womens’ Football League, Alicia is also studying a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology.
