The talented 12 year old was crowned the Geelong Junior Football under-14 division six league best and fairest winner on the weekend.
Playing through the middle, Mithen polled a massivie 34 votes from just 16 games this season while her closest rival received just 11.
At training before her side's preliminary final this weekend, Mithen said she loved beating the boys at their own game.
"It's good to play (against the boys)." Mithen said. "It's what I love. I'm not scared about playing against them.
"Getting 34 votes was all right. I didn't think I'd win, I just thought I'd get a couple of votes."
It's not the first time a girl from Newtown & Chilwell has won an individual award. Last year Bridie Mitchell became the first girl to win a league best and fairest in a boy's competition.
The level headed teen had a simple philosophy about the game: "I've been playing sice I was little so you learn different techniques."
"You just protect yourself. I got injured playing girls footy and I got concussed a couple of weeks ago." she said.
Mithen threw down the challenge to the boys to match it with her next season.
"I want to play again next year and then see if I can play at a higher level," she said.
"I'm still bottom age, so I will play top age next year then I will have to stop (playing with the boys)."
