Newtown & Chilwell sealed its first finals appearance in four years with a 55 point win against Lara.

With a win necessary to ensure its spot in the top five, Newtown & Chilwell set about the business early in five straight goals in the opening term to have a 10 point lead at quarter time.
Any change the Cats had a pulling off an upset were snuffed out in the second term with the Eagles piling on seven goals to one to take a 49 point lead into the main break.
Lara clawed its way back into the game in the third term with six goals to two, but still trailed by four goals at the final change.
Six goals to one in the fian lterm ensured the Eagles their 11th win of the season.
Newtown & Chilwell now move into a cutthroat elimination final against Colac next Sunday at Skilled Stadium.
