Our Noosa Tigers Grand Final team will be a fantastic mix of players who experienced Premiership success last year, and a core of players who are eager to earn a Premiership Medal for the first time.
Of the 22 players in the Second Semi Final win over Palmy, 12 played in last year's Premiership, and 10 are new, hungry and eager to taste victory in 2011.
Of the 10 who are new however, they include experienced men who have played and won Grand Finals or big occasion matches. Ryan Sawers played in the 2009 Grand Final and is a proven performer on big stages, while Troy Duke is steeped in Noosa history and knows what to do. Dayne Frew played in a GF in Bendigo last season, and trained with us throughout our 2010 Finals campaign, and Stozz and Nic Jones have been around the traps as well.
Danny Brewster has a long footy resume and won't be fazed, similarly Owen Bailey who is a cool man who has played State League level football. And add to that the hunger of Travis Mills, Critter and Taswegian Dave Welch and you have a group duty bound to deliver a flag for those who crave being a part of the experience.
The coaching panel also has great experience they can bring into the team, with 2010 Premiership players Gary Wallace and Nathan Winter just on the edge, whilst Joshy Reichman and sam Fary can also be relied on if called. That's not to forget the younger guys like Ryley Buntain, the 'Jacks' and Steve Simpson who have all contributed in 2011.
Premierships are won on the day by the team that sticks to its structures, performs and has players willing to go that extra mile.
Noosa has a fantastic blend of players who know what to do, and players whose hunger for their first flag has invigorated the whole group
