The girls put in a fine performance. Whilst they got off to a slow start it wasn’t long before the team rallied and took control of the game. Excellent shooting from Jordan Austin (Best and Fairest Winner for MCDFNL) earned her best on court.
Rest for one week.

The Under 15s went into the Elimination Final as under dogs, but walked away with a convincing win. All girls played an excellent game from beginning to end, demonstrating that they are a well drilled and disciplined team. Coach Roslyn Comitti was pleased to see that every girl on the court did their bit, contributing to the overall win.

The Under 17s had a tight contest, setting the scene for an exciting finish. Whilst they had a slow first quarter, they were able to take back control of the game by third quarter. The defence team was solid and combined well to put pressure on their tall opponents. Meaghan Armstrong worked hard as goal keeper all day taking a brilliant intercept in the last few seconds of the game, saving the day!
Rest for one week.

In a very tough physical encounter Navarre’s A grade fell short to the top team, Natte Bealiba. They had a sizzling first quarter with a 7 goal lead, before letting the game slowly slip away. Despite best efforts small mistakes were made and were jumped on by the opposition who scored 14 goals in the last quarter. The team will have learnt lots from this loss and hopefully will be able to use it to their advantage in this week’s match against Avoca.
