Down by two points at 3/4, Leongatha kicked with the assistance of a four goals breeze and also with the knowledge that Drouin had failed to score towards the Murray Goulburn end for the entire game should have had Leongatha supporters confident they had a finals berth bedded down with even the hope of a double chance still flickering.
But, as has been season 2011 in the Gippsland League, relax for one quarter and that could be the difference between triumph and despair for a whole year. Drouin seemed to have wanted the victory more in the final half hour of the game and Leongatha are left no time to lick their wounds as they need to come up against Moe to see who will play finals football the following week.
They will be without courageous ruckman Chris Rump who will undergo scans on his left knee when he was stretchered off the ground in the second quarter. However, Jared Morehouse and Zac Griffiths are likely to come back in after missing against the hawks on Saturday.
