OFFICIALS BEHAVIOUR
Football is a passionate game, as finals approach, each game begins to mean more. As nice as it is to win, we must all remember the reason we are at the games, to watch and support the kids as they enjoy the game we all love!
With this being said the MSJFL would like to issue a warning to all spectators and officials. No one is to enter the playing arena at any time during games. The only exceptions are made for runners, trainers and water carries (who are in official roles).
All officials must not engage in any form of abuse or unnecessary physical contact with players. Anyone found guilty will be dealt with severely and swiftly by the league, punishments may include hefty fines and/or life bans from community football.
Any breach in this area may see spectators or officials banned from any MSJFL matches in the future.
PLAYER MOVEMENT
This is a reminder to all clubs that no player movement is to occur of players across the same age group in any situation.
I.e. A player cannot play in the Under 14 Division 1 team in Round 12, and then play in the Under 14 Division 3 team in Round 13.
I.e. A player cannot play 2 games in the same age group on the same weekend (e.g. In Round 13 a player cannot play for the Under 15 Division 1 team in the morning and then play for the Under 15 Division 3 team in the afternoon.)
Any team found breaching the league’s player movement policy will be stripped of any premiership points and potentially face further sanctions at the discretion of the MSJFL. In Round 9 one team was stripped of 4 premiership points after fielding an ineligible player.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS IN FINALS/FINALS QUALIFICATION
Please be advised that there is no limit to the number of players able to participate in one team in MSJFL Finals’ matches.
To participate in finals all players must have played for a minimum of one full quarter in at least 4 home and away matches in that competition during the 2011 season.
Any team who has a player listed on a team sheet when they have not participated in one full quarter will be stripped of the premiership points and potentially face further sanctions at the discretion of the MSJFL.
