A wet week forced mass ground closures around Sydney, and all games except Premier Division were called off. But Monarch Oval remained open, and so the Premier Division game against Campbelltown on Sunday went ahead as scheduled.
Monarch is a massive ground, and it was a heavy traqck, but that presented no problems for the Bombers during a dominant first quarter. Danny Roberts in particular was in awesome form, with the first four goals of the game, as the Bombers led by 42 points at quarter time. And the one-sided display continued in the second term as the Bombers scored another five unanswered goals to go 71 points clear at the long break.
Campbelltown had been held goal-less in the first half; and although the Blues did break through for their first goal during the third quarter, there was no doubting North Shore's dominance. And in the final quarter, the margin extended over three figures; the final margin of 110 points being a reflection of North Shore's superiority. Danny Roberts was the star, finishing with 10 goals.
