In any profile taken of the players of Paul’s era , he is always named among the best players played with. He was leading goal kicker in 1993,1994, 1995, 1996,and 1997. Incredibly, in 1993 he kicked 80 goals and won the league goal kicking. It must be put in context that the club won 6 games for the year, and he was always the number target. In fact during his career, he was a beacon in an unsuccessful era. A lightning quick lead, explosive vertical jump and accurate long kick, Paul embarrassed the full backs of the day. It has been said that he won more games off his own boot than any other player at the club. Few could argue.
