Well the boys take on Old Scotch this weekend in a massive game for the club. Needless to say we need the four points after a few weeks of getting close but not being able to grab the chocolates. This will be our weekend. The backline headed by Corey Millard and Hammer have been fantastic all year, the mid field have been getting plenty of the ball, while you know there is a chance of a major whenever Ridgy is near the ball. So it is just about putting it all together and I have no doubt that if we can replicate the enthusiasm shown against the top four clubs, we can defeat those in the middle of the pack. The phrase "eight pointer" is fitting in this instance so we encourage all supporters to get down to Camberwell and support the magenta and black. The Ressies will also be looking for a win to reward their efforts on the field and on the track.
Scotch are having a luncheon so let me know if you would like to attend.
The U/19s play Old Caulfield Gramarians at Glenhuntly Oval, a side that has eyes on the four - just like our boys. The young Bloods have been playing some great footy and go into the game confident of victory. That would give them a bit of a buffer and set them up for finals action. So an enormous game for them as well.It has been very encouraging seeing some of the school kids play for the U/19s during their holidays and it augers well for the future.
Put a note in your diary that we will be having a luncheon at the next home game when we take on Old Carey. More details to come, but those Masterchefs on the BBQ are back from their Greek sojourn and ready to cook up a storm.
