2011 NWAFCA Coach of the Month Winners - June
Auskick - Craig Gamble (Coburg Auskick)
Craig Gamble is a strong presence at the Coburg Auskick, providing a fantastic environment for all the kids to learn and develop in. By providing fun and challenging activities, Craig makes sure that Auskick is a positive experiecne and all the kids are able to get the most out of their football.
Junior - Jeff Poyser (Riddells Creek)
Jeff Poyser is a first year coach with the Riddles Creek Junior Football Club, taking charge of the division 1 under 10's. Although the team has experienced some tougher times over the season to date, Jeff has shown true strength of character by continuing to keep positive and encourage all of his players. At training he conducts drills that concentrate on the continual improvement of the players understanding of the game whilst making it fun. Jeff also sends emails to parents to make sure that they are kept up to date with what the kids of learning and practicing at training.
Youth - Pat Hurley (Oak Park)
Pat Hurley has shown himself to be a true asset of the Oak Park Football Club. Pat has taken the reins of the under 14 division 2 side and developed the side into a formidible opponent in 2011. Pat also takes the time to help out with the other under 14 sides at the club through training and match day coaching.
All of our monthly winners will now receive a copy of Tom Harley’s book "Standing Tall" and a set of 20 coloured bibs for their respective clubs, which can all be collected from the Calder Cannons offices (Highgate Rec Reserve, Craigieburn). please call ahead to arrange collection.
Further, ALL of the nominated coaches listed above will now be in line for the 2011 NWAFCA Coach of the Year announced at the annual awards dinner in August. All details as well as a bookings form can be found via the following link:
