West Gambier midfielder Brad Wilson has continued his stellar form at a higher level, winning the Bob Templeton Medal as being judged the best-on-ground in the VCFL v VAFA Division 2 match on the weekend.
It continues his medal winning ability from last year, having won the VCFL Medal as best on ground in the WBFL Grand Final, winning the West Gambier senior Best and Fairest award in a premiership year, continuing this year with the VCFL Medal as best on ground in the WBFL's triumph over Geelong District FL and now the Bob Templeton medal.
The award is well deserved as having to travel to Melbourne immediately after playing for West on Saturday afternoon, train the next morning before travelling back to Mount Gambier in the afternoon, for 3 consecutive weeks before then travelling to Sheparton to play was a huge commitment by Brad and his supporting family.
Let's hope Brad's medal winning ability perserveres into September when he and his teammates can win a second premiership medal!
Well done Brad on your huge achievement.
