What would you get if Nick Riewoldt and Travis Cloke had a four shots each from thirty metres out directly in front? Zero from eight! And that’s exactly what we got at Wy Yung last week. The Tigers far too good in each and every grade.
The netballers started with a 2 goal loss in the D Grade with Morgan Chester playing her best game so far. Tiarni and Tayla teamed well in goals but to no avail. Meaghan Grandy was best in the C Res, the C Grade were well beaten, the B Grade toiled hard with Marissa McKean and Mieka Pitt doing their best to restrict the opposition while the A Grade went down by 10 in a physical contest.
The Thirds went down by 4 points in a thriller to record their first loss for the season. In boggy conditions Matty Dalton, Jake Herbert and Mick Cordery were considered best with Duggo, Bonox and Mini kicking 2 each.
The Reserves were in the game right up the 3/4 time but fell away late to be beaten by 43 points. Graham Sellings continued his stellar form with a BOG performance while the Reggie Rooster duo were also good on the day.
The Seniors had an up and down day, finishing well down. After starting in a blaze of glory, the boys fell away after 1/4 time and got rolled by an even 40 points. Jimmy Beha was dominant around the ground and also finished with 2 goals in a best on ground display with Jesse Beha, Brayden Radford and Cleggy also doing their best in a disappointing day for the senior side.
This week we host Lindenow and hope to get all sides back on the winners list. Tonight’s function is a Karaoke & Fancy Dress Night. Kicks off at 7:30pm. $5 entry for those in costume, $10 those without. Continue to get along and support these functions as it helps us to build a stronger club.
Remember to get down to the Junior footy on a Sunday from 11am when you can to help support the kids of the future at Lakes Entrance.
Go Seagulls!
