Good day for the Club, 3 from 3.
Our seniors knew they were going to be challenged by a young, determined St Mary’s side, it was up to our boys to concentrate on the job at hand. The boy’s started the day with the wind blowing down to the score board end of the Lakes oval and Haggy & Della lead the way first up as the forwards were taking shots from all parts of the ground but only managed to kick 4 majors. 2nd quarter and the inclusion of Bamf up forward was starting to pay off but we were only able to kick the 1 major for the quarter as it looked we had most of the ball that quarter, at this stage Whitt’s & Jinnette along with Wardy had hit their straps and started to lift the side. 3rd term and Gaz asked the boys to lift their work rate which they did lead by Whitt’s & Matty M as our boys tried kicking goals from all parts of the ground, the main focus of that 3rd term was we had most of the ball and managed to kick 2 goals 7 points to St Mary’s 2 goals, Vito was now runner with Wardy & Whitt’s on the ball and with Matty M winning the ruck we were in for a cracker last quarter. Final term St Mary’s had the wind and need to kick 2 goals 8 points without our boys scoring, Gaz had a dip at his boys & asked them to use each other. The ball was bounced and straight away Whitt’s sharing the ball with Wardy then to Shann Ball onto Vito and GOAL they knew they could keep going as long as they used each other and as the final sire went the boys we pleased with their efforts able to kick 2 goals to defeat the young, determined St Mary’s side by 14 points.

Ressie’s.
The Boy’s started off like a house on fire for Glenn Greenough’s 200th game. Matty R lead the way up forward & I believe we all saw the Chris Judd look alike handball off in the goal square to Ricko for a snag, now that would be a first. Sticky on the wing was flying and Tuch, Wils looked the goods in & under, Meadie popped in for a lazy couple as did Hammo. Great effort again boys keep working hard on the track.
