Hi all PSJAFC members.
On Monday 20th June 2011, the PSJAFC celebrated the launch of the new Risk Management sub committee. This new sub committee is designed keep both you and your children as safe as possible and comprises the following personnel.
Mrs Del Nicholson Head of Committee
Mr Tim Badger President PSJAFC
Mr Graham Pares Secretary and General Committee member,
Mrs Kylie O'Connor General Committee member, and
Mr Adam Fisher Player Representative
The role of this committee is to make life at the club, both on and off the field, as safe as possible for not only the players, but their families and visiting community members. A number of issues were discussed last night including finalising the first ever PSJAFC Risk Management Plan. This plan once completed and signed of (expect this to occur within a week or two), will be placed onto the club website for all to see and will assist us in becoming only the 5th Silver Accredited AFL Club in NSW / ACT.
Obviously it is pointless having a plan if we do not action it so the education process for everyone will need to occur immediately. It is important that all players and their parents know that the point of contact for any possible issues or concerns Adam Fisher (U16 Assistant Coach). He will be visiting all teams over the next week to meet the players and let them know what he can do for them.
We ask for your assistance in making this imitative work and hope that you all understand that new risk management policy is not a tool to upset people or aimed at making people feel like they have done something wrong or not doing a good job. You all do an amazing job and I thank you. This policy is designed to make us a better and safer club for everyone.
