It’s a big weekend of footy coming up. Saturday sees our Thirds at home for their clash against Wests, while our Seniors, Reserves and Under 18s travel to Wollongong on Sunday to take on Illawarra.
REMINDER: The AFL Raffle Books are now overdue. The club is required to pay for tickets whether we sell them or not, so we will continue to collect them (and the money) even after it is no longer possible for your tickets to be entered into the draw. Please get your tickets and $40 back to a team manager THIS WEEKEND.

Dates for the Diary
2011 North Shore Player Review—After the success of last year’s player review, the boys are all getting ready to do it all again on Saturday 25 June at Hotel Cremorne, 287 Military Road Cremorne. The evening costs $15 per head and includes finger food. Thing will kick off at 7 pm and all players, parents and supporters are welcome to see the comedic talents of the North Shore Bombers! Persons under the age of 18 will be allowed to attend and all players are required to bring at least one person from outside the club.
Back to Bears Day—The annual celebration of club culture and history, Back to Bears Day, will be held on Saturday 16 July at Gore Hill for the massive quadruple-header against Pennant Hills. This year we will be celebrating the 50 year, 20 year and 10 year anniversary of the 1961, 1991 and 2001 premierships. Save the date for what promises to be a truly memorable day!

Division One v Illawarra—North Dalton Oval, Sunday 12:00 pm
Premier Division v Illawarra—North Dalton Oval, Sunday 2:10 pm.
North Dalton Oval is on Pioneer Rd, Towradgi. To get there, cross the Harbour Tunnel and continue along the Eastern Distributor and Southern Cross Drive. Go straight ahead past the airport and continue onto General Holmes Drive.
Turn right at President Ave, signs will point to Wollongong; then left at Princes Highway. Continue along the highway, over Tom Ugly’s Bridge. The highway will turn to the left at Sutherland, take the left turn. At Waterfall, continue along the freeway.
After the freeway, take the Bulli Pass exit. It’s a steep downhill run, but if you’re a passenger the views are spectacular. When you’re down the hill, continue along the highway; then take the Northern Distributor turnoff.
Turn left at Bellambi Lane, cross the railway line and turn right at the roundabout. North Dalton Oval is a few kilometres down the road on the left hand side. There is plenty of parking on site. Admission is free, and there’s plenty of under-cover seating if the weather turns nasty.

Our Opponents
North Shore had a big win over Illawarra in the opening round of the season. But the Lions have been a much-improved side this year, pulling off a couple of upset wins and putting the top sides under some pressure. Away from our Gore Hill fortress, the Bombers will need to dig deep, and work hard on what is likely to be a heavy ground, to take the points in this game.
Online Coverage
Score updates from the Wollongong games will be posted on the North Shore website. After the games, detailed scorecards featuring goals and best players from each grade, will be available by clicking the Fixtures/Results tab above.
