Seniors Successful, Ressie’s Ruthless.
The conditions were quite good although the ground was a little wet & heavy in patches as the wind favoured the Boulevard end of the ground to which the Lions kicked in the first quarter. The breeze enabled our boy’s to kick 6 goals in the first whilst the Hillers managed 2 goals and had plenty of opportunities up forward. The second quarter saw the boy’s from the Hill kicked 5 goals to 4 goals to our boy’s as Haggy picked up plenty of the ball and Trav dominated the half back whilst Johnny K did the hard work around the packs. By halfway through the quarter there was only a point in it and the momentum was with the Hillers. But our boy’s stayed disciplined and course a few turnovers which gave Whitt’s a couple for the Lions and a three goal lead at half time. The Hills came out the stronger in the third quarter against the breeze restricting the Lions to a solitary goal and snagging three for themselves to give them a chance at the last break. However, Gaz spoke to his troops and suggested we get back to our running game in this last quarter which ours boy’s responded and put all hopes of the Hills win behind them. Haggy, Trav, Timmy J and Whitt’s, were strong all day. Meanwhile, Johnny K, Wardy, Russ Elder and Vito, Jinnette did plenty of hard work through the middle. To get our boy’s over the line.
Well done boy’s a 32 piont win leads into a well deserved brake, having the bye this week.

Ressie’s
Were at their best this week as Gaz M spoke some home truths before the game. Panton Hill has been on top of the Ressie’s ladder and look the more dominate side until our boy’s got firing, Harra was hot out of the centre and Hammo, Stu slotted them through, Ricko popped up for a couple as Thommo did the team things.
