Seniors roll on.
Our senior side past another challenge this weekend against Panton Hill on their home turf. At first sight the ground looked in good nick but at a closer view the ground was very wet under foot and it wasn’t long before the players dug it up.
At the first break the Hillers were a goal up but our players knew it was going to be a tussle all day up at the Hillers home ground as they were prepared to work hard at every contest as Gaz asked, leading the way was Haggy & Vito as Sealy & MM worked hard up forward.
Second quarter ours boys pressured well and hit the lead by a couple of points at this stage the muddy conditions were slowing the play down as Trav & TJ ran off the back line with Jinnette, first gaming Meadie was released up forward and made every opportunity a winner and the wingers were holding their ground.
Third term and Gaz used a boxing match as an example and asked the boys to win each round as the round, quarter got under way our big boys in Andylands & The Unit started taking over the centre ball ups as Wardy, Toady moved it forward to MM.
Final quarter and our boys have been finishing hard and this was the main focus in the huddle during the break, Siggs stepped up as he has in the past weeks and slotted the first goal after the break, the two Shannon’s were playing well as to the back line lead buy Jinnette & Elder, it was a hard slog but the boy’s got there at the end with a good team performance, well done boy’s.
Remember we play the Hillers again in two weeks at home on the Queen’s Birthday weekend.
