The lone goal for the term came from Travis "I'm gonna cover my whole jersey with Grippo"" McKenzie from a contested mark from about 30 metres out.
Following the re-establishing of the team for the 2nd quarter, the boys went about deconstructing the work done by the Ottawa Swans in holding the Roos for the 1st 20 minutes. First to hit the socreboard was mcKenzie again after 6 min followed by Justin "Super Sub" Rigney on 8 min after both collecting the footy from a contest and kicking truely. In the midfeild the inclusion of Justin "Chippa" Harris for the injured Jack Morwood who was suffering a pre game groin injury that rumors had was not sustained from football as huge lift for the roos. Chippa and Adam "Captain" Paterson's collection of taps from dominate ruckman Jeff "Timmy" Wingrove gave the forward first crack of the footy as it was driven long time after time to put pressure on the defence of the Swans who were left wondering how it could of turned so quickly. Chris "Run Amuk" Haesler goaled on 14 minutes after dodging around 4 Swans players who were left grabbing nothing but air and then McKenzie took a great handball from Chris Littlewood to snap a beauty. Not to be out done "Big Bad Bustling" Bobby " I'll play on at any cost in front of goal" Sears marked strongly and goaled even though he gave himself a fright by nearly missing from 2 metres out. The Roos on top by 37 points and the game in hand at half time.
The 3rd quarter started just as the 2nd finished with the roos on top all over the ground. The backline lead by Dusty "Roving Reporter" Allen, Adam "Stylish Running" Jacobs, Chet "I'll never drink before a game again" Long, Logan "hard defence" Chambers controlling things and keeping the Swans to 4 solitary points for the game. At the other end McKenzie was running rampant kicking 5 goals for the quarter after 3,5,6,17,19 minutes to be a 1 man forward line as he sought to chase the clubs all time single game goal kicking record of 11. To help out during this time Andrew "I got neeeeew boots" Hogan goaled on the run at 14 minutes and then the game highlight backman Adam "Stylish running" jacobs goaled from long range about 55 meter's after the siren after being flattened and getting an official 50 metre (Actually only about 25m). That 55 metres was sure to be 80 by the end of Saturday night. The roos on top by 90 points.
The boys were set a target of 7 goals for the last 20 minutes and looked a chance after 4 minutes when Dusty "Roving reporter" Allen gave a handball, took a handball, dodged 2 players and goaled after sneaking down from the backline. "Big Bad Bustling" Bobby Sears goaled and played on in front of goal at the 8 minute mark, McKenzie goaled again to make it 9 for the day and then a run of 6 consective behinds from the forward line meant that the 7 asked for would not be reached. "BBB" Booby Sears again played on rom in front to kick his 3rd for the day and the roos had come out on top by 117 points after a very poor start.
