This Saturday sees the Nimbin Demons come to Tigerland Pottsville due to Nimbins home ground being too wet, this was meant to be an away game for the Tigers but with Tigerland in pristine condition the decision to relocate the game was an easy one.
Rain disruptions have affected the Summerland League over the last month with not much football being played. The Tigers missed their match last Saturday v Ballina and are frothing for a game of football.
The last two weeks have seen over 20 players at training on Thursday nights in the wet, with boxing and skill drills having the Tigers ready to roll.
Nimbin has struggled all season to put a team on the paddock and the Tigers are hoping they can rustle up a side for Saturday’s match.
The Tiger’s are nearly back to full strength with only Bolty still out with a niggling back injury but he has been working hard of the paddock and the 2010 leading goal kicker is looking good for a return in the next few weeks to strengthen the Tigers forward line. Hardnosed onballer Jimmy Walle is away this week due to work commitments and the missing link Nathan Wilson will be rested to allow his minor ankle injury to progress in time for next weekend’s grudge match with Lismore.
The forecast for Saturday is for fine conditions and the Tigers will roll out the welcome mat for Nimbin with the jumping castle for the kids, BBQ and cold refreshments.
Game kicks off at 2pm at Tigerland Pottsville.
All Welcome.
