We’re into Round 3, and it’s another big weekend for the Bombers. Our Premier Division, First Division and Under 18s return to Gore Hill to take on East Coast; while our Third Division team are on the road again, travelling to Gwawley Park to take on Southern Power.
This Weekend’s Matches
10:00am – Under 18s v East Coast Eagles at Gore Hill Oval
12:00pm – First Division v East Coast Eagles at Gore Hill Oval
2:00pm – Third Division v Southern Power at Gwawley Park
2:10pm – Premier Division v East Coast Eagles at Gore Hill Oval
The canteen and BBQ will be open all day at Gore Hill; with a range of hot and cold food, drinks and snacks.
For Third Division, Gwawley Park is on the corner of Taren Point Rd and Box Rd, Sylvania Waters.
Directions from Gore Hill
Go east along Pacific Highway. Turn left at Christie St, then right at Chandos St. Follow Chandos St to the end, and swing left into Brook St.
Round the corner, turn right onto Warringah Expressway. Take the Harbour Tunnel, and continue through the Eastern Distributor onto Southern Cross Drive. Go straight ahead past the airport, and continue straight ahead – the signs will point to Rockdale/Wollongong.
Continue straight ahead through Brighton-Le-Sands and Ramsgate – Botany Bay will be on your left. At Dolls Point, the road will swing round to the right and become Sandringham St.
Turn left at Rocky Point Road and go over the bridge. The ground is a couple of blocks past the bridge on the right. Turn right into Box Road, there’s plenty of parking there.

Our Opponents
It’s a tough opponent this week, East Coast Eagles have won the last two premierships. This year they come in with one win and one loss, same as North Shore; and should the Bombers get a win here it may be pivotal to our fortunes for the season. The Bombers have a good record against the Eagles at Gore Hill, and will be keen to improve on that record and claim the scalp of the defending champion.
After the Game
After the game, all players and supporters are invited to our brief after-match presentation in the clubhouse. The coaches will discuss the games, and best players from each grade will be presented. The presentation should be finished by 5:30, in plenty of time for anyone going to the Swans v Geelong game to get to the SCG.
