The Lismore Swans have defeated the Nimbin Demons at Ballina's Fripp Oval on Saturday to register there first win of the season. Unsure if the game was going to proceed until 30 minutes before the game the Swans kicked away however took time to get things going. The Swans may not have played there best footy however did share the ball around producing some good passages of play. To Nimbins credit they battled hard however struggling without a bench in the second half in addition to the Swans lifting to runaway 177 point winners.
The Swans have a lot of improvement to do ahead of next weeks match against Ballina however are heading in the right direction. Tom Waters did well in the ruck while Chris Devenish proved damaging up forward as did Sam Rumball.
Best on the day were Tom Waters, Chris Devenish, Daniel Bruce, Michael Brown, Sam Rumball and Roly Barrett
Goals went to Chris Devenish with 7, 5 each to Sam Rumball, George Massa and Dean Webb, Roly Barrett 3, Daniel Bruce 2, and singles to Darren Moncrieff, Ethan Lenson, Daniel Moloney, and Angus Legoe.
Next week the Swans play Ballina 2pm at Ballina's Fripp Oval.
