Our Opponents
This week our three senior teams take on Wests sides that will be looking to bounce back after first round defeats. Wests’ senior side went down to St George last week, while their First Division side were well beaten by Macquarie Uni.
Like North Shore, Wests are also fielding a Third Division team for the first time in 2011, and they also had a first-up defeat.
We’ve had some great battles with Wests over the years. Last year the Magpies had narrow wins over North Shore in both games; so we’ll be keen to bounce back and take the points this time round.
For our Under 18s, it’s a new challenge against Penrith. Penrith were promoted to the Premier Cup competition for the first time this season after an undefeated season in Challenge Cup last year. In their opening round game, they had a narrow loss to Pennant Hills.
Online and Media Coverage
Score updates for all games will be online at www.northshorefc.com.au . After the games, detailed scores will be available on the Fixtures/Results tab above, and photo galleries will also be uploaded to the website.
The Premier Division match will be the TV game for the round. Highlights of the game will be shown on Fox Sports Plus (Ch 518) at 6:30pm next Friday.
