Due to Thornton-Eildon folding as club, this weeks planned camp and practice game against Thornton-Eildon has been cancelled. We now have a game at home againt Forest Hill. Reserves start at 11am and Seniors 1pm. This is the final hitout following last saturdays game against Diamond Creek.
The ground at Panton Hill is in fatastic condition which provided a pleasant day last Saturday for the practice games against Diamond Creek. The reserves was a good run for many of the boys with only 16 per side due to limited numbers. Coach Jayson Burleigh was pleased with the efforts and looks forward to the coming weeks.
In the seniors the first half effort with only 19 players for the day and a very undermanned side was really good. The boys held a good account of themselves. After halftime however Diamond Creek were able to lift up a gear, and pulled away. Better players for the Hills included Steve Northrop, Pratty turning back the clock, Jay Gilmore working hard all day, and the Captain for the day Bocca chipped in for 3 majors. Another good hit out for The Hills who now can’t wait to take on the Zebras this week with a number of senior players returning to the side.
