Bombers in Trial Match Action

Over the off-season, our Bomber players and coaches have been working on their fitness, their skills and their game plans for the season ahead.

To continue their preparation for the 2011 season, all four of our teams will be playing trial matches on Saturday. All four grades will be playing together at Mahoney Park; on the corner of Illawarra Rd and Wharf Rd at Marrickville.

The program for the day will be as follows:

10am - Third Division v UNSW-ES

12pm - Under 18s v Sydney University

2pm - First Division v Sydney University

4pm - Premier Division v Sydney University

For our new Third Division team, it will be their first competitive match together, and a chance to preview their fortunes for the season ahead.

And for our Seniors, Reserves and Under 18s, the matches against Sydney Uni will be a benchmark for how our pre-season preparations are going. Sydney Uni made the grand final in all three grades last season, and for our players to test themselves against such opposition will give an indicator of the areas in which the Bombers are going well, and those areas that need to be fine-tuned before the season starts.
