Youngster Kelley Le Gassick has joined The Hills for the 2011 season along with his brother Jack, both having played with Watsonia in 2010.
Kelley played his junior football with St. Mary’s – Greensborough before playing under 17’s at Watsonia last year. However, the senior side recognised his talents and Kelley ended up playing both reserves and then seniors throughout the season as well as Under 17’s. Kelley is keen to develop his skills further as a senior footballer and with youth on his side we expect to seem him steadily improve throughout the season.
Jack Le Gassick is also still young at only 23 years of age but is a more solid and experienced player than Kelley, having been at Watsonia since 2005. Jack is a backline player that can hold down key positions or the flank as required. His junior career was at Montmorency and Eltham where he regularly played finals. As an Essendon supporter, the familiar red and black colours at The Hills has provided him a sense of comfort with jack and his younger brother settling in amongst the existing group very well. Look out for the special appearances on training track of Jack and Kelley’s dad Rick.
Great to have the Le Gassicks on board.
