The Tweed Coast Tigers 2011 Premiership defence is right on track and is benefiting
from strong community and local business support.
The Tigers have secured the Pottsville Beach Sports Club as their major sponsor for 2011 with a large cash contribution, whilst also providing the Tigers with a base for after game presentations and functions.
The relationship began in 2010, but has since blossomed into a win win according to Tigers President Mark Downward “We are very happy with the new agreement with Pottsville Beach Sports Club, the cash injection is unprecedented in AFL in the Northern Rivers and will allow our club to confidently defend our 2010 Premiership, whilst the Pottsville Beach Sports Club is a great base for us to hold after game celebrations and presentations, the setting, staff and food are all fantastic.”
The Tigers have taken the bold step of employing a local marketing and media business which has seen the club gain fantastic media exposure throughout 2010 and develop a range of options for sponsors to come onboard.
Mark continued “Winning the flag last year obviously helps, everyone loves a
winner but the support we have received through our Local Business Sponsorship Packages has been overwhelming.
Our website averaged over 7000 page views per month last season maxing out at 13,000 in September, that’s a lot for a amateur club.
Sponsors have seen the benefits of being associated with the Tigers from our media exposure, website presence and the fact that our home games are played at Pottsville Oval right in the heart of town and we had home crowds in excess of 500 supporters at times last season.”
