The reserves defeated Emerald in a tough game that saw both sides take the lead in the first half. At half time Wandin had steadied the best and took a handy lead at half time after goals from Tirant, Carmichael and 2 from Biddle. The 3rd quarter saw the Bulldogs take control of the game with Carmichael dominating across half forward and McGeorge and Mitchell picking up kicks at will across the middle of the ground. When reserves Bromley and Sprigg came on and added some extra run the team was able to run out comfortable 43 point winners.
