The Inverell Saints arrived in Narrabri with a undermanned team, but a strong belief in themselves to succeed.
The first quarter saw the Saints kick 5 goals before kicking a point. It was the kind of start that the Saints have been looking for all year, and showed what we are capable of when we click as a team. The only down side for the quarter was having one of our players sent from the field for 15 minutes on quarter time. Quarter time scores Saints 5-2-32 Eagles 2-4-16.
Being one man down the Saints fought really hard to out score the Eagles in this quarter. With Alex Walker picking up were he left off last week the Saints went in at half time leading 8-5-52 to the Eagles 4-8-32.
The Eagles came out hard in the Third quarter and out scored the Saints. Third quarter time score Saints 11-9-75 Eagles 8-9-57.
But the Saints proved to strong in the last quarter running away with the game to finish 15-11-101 to the Eagles 9-13-67.
