Scott Grigg
Scott Joins the club after spending the last two years as the senior assistant coach at the Keilor FC. During his time at Keilor he also coached in his own right leading the reserves to the finals in both years. Scott has benefited under the tutelage of Mick McGuane over the past two years and this has played a major role in the development of Scott’s coaching. Scott also has had stints coaching at Aberfeldie and also out in the Eastern Football league as the senior coach of Donvale. He has already shown a good level of knowledge during the pre season and will be a fantastic acquisition to the club next year looking after the forward line.
Brett Cook
Brett joins the club after coaching the Woodend FC over the past two years. Before this Brett coached the Kyneton FC for a season. Brett played 43 senior games at St Kilda and Fitzroy, he also played over 100 reserves games at AFL level and will be of fantastic assistance in passing on his experience to our young players. Brett will look after our defence in 2011.
Corey Laforgia
Corey joins Coburg after spending 2010 as the reserves midfield coach at Williamstown, there Corey was part of developing a young list of players who eventually played off in the 2010 Grand Final. Corey has played at senior level for Coburg back in the late 90’s under then coach Alan Ezard , he then went on to play over 200 senior games in the Essendon District Football League at Taylors Lakes and Oak Park, including an A grade premiership with Oak Park. Corey will be the assistant Midfield coach working with Sam Power our Senior Midfield coach.
Mario Lirosi
Mario joins us after having a major role in coaching the Keilor Under 18A team in the EDFL. They finished runners up in 2009 and 2010.
He also has had a stint at the Calder Cannons as a Development coach for the under 15 and under 16 squads in 2008.
Mario will be joining Coburg as a development coach in 2011. Mario will work closely with Andrew Shakespeare and our young players who are part of the development program
