One of the outcomes of the NCCUA Planning Day held on Sunday 21 November 2010 is that ALL UMPIRES who are intending on umpiring in 2011 must complete by 13 March 2011 the ‘Play by the Rules’ Online training courses (see link below).
http://www.playbytherules.net.au/online-learning
This is part of the NCCUA’s ongoing commitment to improving umpire’s skill and knowledge base to help them carry out and perform their duties at the high standard we expect from our umpires. It is a requirement for the ‘Play By The Rules’ online training courses to be completed by 13 March 2011, as this will be one criteria for umpires to gain Full Match payment from Round 1 of the 2011 BDAFL season.
So once you have followed the link above,
1. you will need to create a new account by clicking on the ‘Click here to register for online training’. For new users you need to fill out all the fields on the ‘New Account’ page and then click ‘Create Account’.
For those who had completed the online training in 2009; you will click on ‘Click here to go to the training website’ under Existing Users.
2. After entering your details, an email will be sent to your email account.
3. When you have received the email from the Play by the Rules Admin User, click on the link inside the email to confirm your account and you will go to a page where you click on the ‘Courses’ button.
4. You will need to select and complete the following training courses:
- ‘Discrimination and Harassment - Umpires’ under the ‘Discrimination and Harassment’ category.
- ‘Child Protection – Coaches and Officials’ under the ‘Child Protection - NSW’ category.
5. Once you have completed these training courses, please print out the certificate at the end of the course (or save the certificate as a pdf file) to demonstrate you have completed the online training. You can then either email the certificates (president@nccua.com) or hand a printed copy of your certificates to me at training and we will then file this certificate with your membership form for 2011.
As stated above, this needs to be completed with certificates handed in (either electronically or in hard copy) by 13 March 2011 (Umpires Forum). This is compulsory for all UMPIRES and is one of the requirements for Umpires to receive ‘Full Payments’ when umpiring in the BDAFL 2011 season.
If any umpires have any questions they are asked to email the NCCUA President, Darrel Luck or see him at training (Training starts Monday 31 January 2011).
