Adam McKenzie at 162cm and close mate Peter Trompf at 190 odd can remind people of Arnie & Danny Devito in "Twins" but it is great to see Adam back at Noosa after an aborted attempt last year
Adam was brought up in Ballarat and played Auskick and all his junior footy with the Ballarat Swans. Whilst he won an under 14 B&F and played regularly in the inter League sides, he still doesnt have a flag to stick in his memory bank. His junior highlight was playing in a Ballarat High School team with good mate Brad Sewell (Hawks) that finished first in the comp for the first time in 92 years.
In Senior football, Adam played for Ballarat under John Northey before playing for Newlyn in the Central Highlands League and in 2009 having a kick with Mosman Park over in Perth with work commitments and an unsympathetic boss restricting him to only 3-4 games.
Now, having fought a battle that no one wants to take on, and having a year off to enjoy life a bit, Noosa Tigers will become his new home in 2011 and beyond.
Welcome Adam and may sunshine, good footy and our great bunch of blokes see you enjoy success here at Noosa and perhaps a medal in September to share with your mate Trompfy.
