Owen Bailey runs a personal training company called "Sweat by Design" and looks the sort of bloke that will put in the work and sweat to ensure he is getting his fair share of the Sherrin when the whips are cracking.
Noosa people will know him better as the midfielder running around in number 6 for Maroochydore, and it is from playing against him that he has earned him the respect of our boys already and they can't wait til he joins us to help in our Back2Back campaign.
Originally from Brighton in SA, Owen moved to the Sunny Coast 6 years ago after his family moved to Brisvegas the year before. The great lifestyle was the major attraction.
He has certainly packed a fair bit into his 27 years as along with his study for fitness qualifications and his own company, he also does work for Kelly Sports in schools and has also travelled with 15 months in the UK and Europe backpacking and working the odd jobs that you have to do to get the dollars to keep the trip alive.
A Geelong supporter (Hmm is that why Fletch was so keen to get him) Bails also doesnt mind hopping on a surf board but admits that he is keen to turn his "L" Plates into a more accomplished showing on the waves of Noosa.
When asked why the move to Tigerland, Owen was honest to say that it is for the renewed challenge as well as meeting new people and being in afresh environment. As he put it "where better to challenge yourself than winning a spot in the Premiership team".
Owen Bailey is a quality person and footballer and we are all pleased to have him become part of the Noosa Tiger family. Welcome Bails and we hope you achieve everything you want at Noosa and that we might help you put a medal around your neck in September.
