Jamie Sheahan took home the Carl Herbert Medal for the Fairest & Best State Player on Friday night when he held off a fast finishing Sam Carpenter. With only 16 votes separating the top five players, Sheahans consistant year and ability to turn games was enough to give the talented Mid fielder the edge.
Finishing on 106 votes, Sheahan was closely followed by Sam Carpenter on 98, Reece Toye on 96 and both Robbie Copeland and Matt Shir on 91. Tyson Hartwig was also not far away on 90 votes after a very consistent season after moving from Country Victoria.
David Kirwan won the Reserve grade B & f by holding off a fast finishing Lachlan Argus who almost over ran Kirwan when he finished off the year with two bags of Seven goals in the last two games.
