The Ainslie Under 14 Div 1 team have won their Grand Final against
St Edmunds by 35 points to win the Premiership and the Tom McLeod
Shield. Final score was Ainslie 11.9-75 to St Edmunds 5.10-40.
The
U14s have had a very good season finishing the minor rounds on top of
the table. They also defeated St Edmunds in the 2nd Semi-Final to move
through to the Grand Final. Ainslie led all day in the match played in
good conditions at Football Park.
Congratulations to the team and to coach Greg Bishop and Manager Ed Rice.
The
Ainslie Under 12 team played a good game against Marist in the U12
Grand Final at Kingston Oval going down by 8 points at the final siren
after closing the gap to just 1 point at three quarter time. It has
been an excellent season for the u12s after finishing in 4th place and
getting through to the Grand Final after 2 very good wins in the 1st
Semi-final and Preliminary Final. All boys in both Divisions of the
U12s have contributed to the team's success in 2010 and congratulations
to all.
