What can one say? Just a horrible day for the demons. Losing Jay on Thursday nights was compounded when Brendo was an extremely late withdrawal. The mind set and attitude was wrong from the start. Kicking with a strong breeze in the first quarter, it was a disaster.
Above: Anthony Bernardo is tackled by East Brighton's Dean Williamson.
We were belted at clearances and in general play. Our on ballers were beaten worse than a red headed step son. At quarter time there would have been an embarrassing number of demons who hadn’t seen the leather.
Dean Kovacic flys for a great grab.
To a degree our effort was better defending against the wind in the second term. To be frank, there is not much of a positive note to take out of the game, as the scoreboard is a pretty accurate reflection of the day’s events.
East Brighton's Mark Jamieson reaps the rewards of staying down alone.
Our young side is tired and we need to get behind them for one last effort against Chelsea Heights. Luke Swan was terrific on a very good player in Mark Jamieson who had plenty of supply. Luke Grabowski continues to improve whilst Travis Faull is getting valuable experience against good opponents.
Luke Grabowski tracks the ball with Darryn Young in support.
The reserves battled away with the bare minimum. Terrific to see some new blood in the side and we can only hope that these guys will stick with us.
